Get Involved
Our covenant reminds us to “dwell together in peace, seek truth in love, and to help one another.” At UUAC, our community is where we get to practice being the people we want to be. If the worship service is one of the supporting pillars of our church, Our Community is another foundational pillar that allows us to practice our covenant within our walls.
We volunteer to keep our church running, to care for one another in hard times; we share our financial resources which support the mission of the church within and outside of our walls, and we celebrate together.

Thursdays 7–8:30 p.m. · Unity Hall · no auditions, ages 14+
Forms twice a year for Music Sunday services
6–12 people with a trained facilitator, monthly
First Friday of the month · all are welcome

Knitting blankets, hats and more for those in need
Weekly grocery collections for A Place to Turn food bank
Learning, connecting with, and supporting immigrant neighbors
Mentoring prisoners working toward college degrees
Next Steps to Connect
- Come on a Sunday and stay for coffee hour downstairs in Unity Hall after worship. We are a congregation that loves to eat!
- Take a Sunday-morning turn. Members young and old share four simple tasks that enhance our worship service every Sunday — Flowers, Light the Chalice, Ringing the Bell, and Food for Coffee Hour. Look for the sign-up sheets in the sanctuary, lobby, or Unity Hall, or see Volunteer Opportunities.
- Sing with us. The Meetinghouse Choir is open to all singers ages 14 and up — there are no auditions. Speak to Sarah Deveau, Director of Music Ministries, or come to a rehearsal on a Thursday night.
- Join a small group. Covenant Groups, the Book Club, Changing Gears with Grace, and other Small Group Ministries nurture deeper relationships as we explore faith, life, and spiritual growth.
- Serve the wider world. Every Service & Justice ministry has need of volunteers — whether you can spare a few hours or want to take up the cause. Questions or a new project idea? Contact .
