At the Unitarian Universalist Area Church in Sherborn we seek to offer a breadth of opportunities for people of all ages to explore their spirituality. We view faith formation as a lifelong journey and, as such, provide programming that supports children, youth, and adults.
Children’s Faith Formation
This aspect of our Faith Formation program is designed to encourage young people to be religious seekers grounded within our Unitarian Universalist tradition and contained within the framework of a love and supportive church environment. Learn more about Children’s Faith Formation.
Children’s Faith Formation is for people aged pre-K through sixth grade.
Youth Faith Formation
Building inclusive community, justice-seeking, and spiritual exploration are what we emphasize in our youth programs. Curriculum includes the Our Whole Lives (OWL) program and Coming of Age. Learn more about Youth Faith Formation.
Youth Faith Formation is for people in Grades 6-12.
Adult Faith Formation
For adults, we view faith formation as a time for people to continue exploring their own spirituality in community. The programs we offer are often about connecting to people within the community through educational workshops, social action, and covenant groups. Learn more about Adult Faith Formation.
Adult Faith Formation is for anyone who has graduated high school.
Volunteer
Much of our Faith Formation programming is made possible because of volunteers. Our Children’s Faith Formation teachers, in particular, are a group of volunteers from within our community who lead team-taught classes. If you are interested in volunteering as a Faith Formation teacher please contact Rev. Joanna Lubkin.
Small Group Ministries
Small group ministries foster connections within our congregation as we explore questions relating to faith, life, and spiritual growth. Small group ministries are also a place to practice our spirituality in community, and provide a way to cultivate connections within us and between each other. Learn more about Small Group Ministries.
