UUAC Safer Congregations Policy and Team
Our congregation has a Safer Congregations Policy and Response Team. The Team’s purpose is to be proactive in protecting our beloved community from harm as well as to respond ot any concerns related to our Safer Congregations Policy (pdf) and Safer Congregations Procedures (pdf). The Team consists of the Ministers and key lay leaders.
The Policy is grounded in our Unitarian Universalist covenantal relationships and focuses on prevention, education, and responses that are theologically based and legally sound. It outlines our intentions and goals for preventing and addressing violence, abuse, harassment, inappropriate behavior, and other threats to safety.
As no Policy can possibly keep everyone safe in every situation, each congregant or visitor must exercise their own care in an emergency.
